A Blackjack Table is the most popular casino game for a reason. It’s easy to learn, fun for beginners, and strategic enough to keep experienced players engaged. At Full House Casino Rentals, we bring professional-grade blackjack tables to your event so everyone can join in the excitement. In this guide, we’ll break down the blackjack table rules, strategy basics, and a blackjack table chart to help you make the right moves.

The Basics of the Blackjack Table

Each blackjack table includes:

  • 1 dealer and up to 8 players.

  • Standard 52-card decks (we use professional casino-style decks).

  • Chips for betting, dealt cards, and a clearly marked layout showing the betting spots.

Your goal? Beat the dealer without going over 21.

Key Blackjack Table Rules

  • Aces can count as 1 or 11.

  • Face cards are worth 10.

  • Players act before the dealer, who must hit until 17.

  • If both player and dealer tie, it’s called a push - no one wins or loses.

When to Split

  • Always split Aces and 8s.

  • Never split 10s or 5s.

  • Split 2s, 3s, 6s, 7s, and 9s depending on the dealer’s card (see chart).

When to Double Down

  • With a total of 10 or 11, double down unless the dealer shows a 10 or Ace.

  • Soft hands (Ace + low card) can sometimes be doubled if the dealer shows a weak card (4–6).

Blackjack Insurance Explained

Insurance is a side bet that the dealer has blackjack when showing an Ace.

  • If the dealer has blackjack: your insurance bet pays 2:1, but you lose your main bet — essentially a break-even hedge.

  • If the dealer doesn’t have blackjack: you lose the insurance bet, but the hand plays out normally.

Pro Tip: Taking “even money” on a natural blackjack means accepting a 1:1 payout right away instead of risking for 2:1. While tempting, the smart move is usually to take the guaranteed 1:1 payout.

Pushes in Blackjack: If you and the dealer tie, it’s called a push. You don’t win or lose - your original bet is returned.

Why Blackjack Works So Well at Events

  • Inclusive: everyone plays against the dealer together—great for groups.

  • Fast rounds: perfect flow for corporate mixers and holiday parties.

  • Skill + luck: the strategy chart gives beginners instant confidence while still engaging competitive players.
